Virtual Author Visits

Although I’m not able to travel for in‑person events due to my health, I’m delighted to offer Virtual Author Visits for schools, libraries, community groups, and organisations. These sessions take place over Microsoft Teams or Zoom, and can be fully tailored to suit the age group, setting, and goals of your event.

A typical visit can include a mix of the following:

  • A live reading of Twit‑Twoo the Owl

  • An introduction to my writing journey, including how my experiences with mental health, chronic illness, and invisible disability inspired the story

  • A behind‑the‑scenes look at how a children’s book is created — from first idea to finished pages

  • Interactive Q&A, where children (or grown‑ups) can ask questions about the book, writing, creativity, or the themes in the story

  • Discussion prompts to help children explore feelings, difference, courage, and kindness

  • Optional follow‑up activities, such as writing challenges, character‑building exercises, or creative tasks linked to the book

Sessions can be short and snappy for younger groups, or more in‑depth for older children, educators, or parent workshops. I’m very happy to adapt the agenda to meet your needs — whether you’re looking for a fun story time, a wellbeing‑focused session, or a creative writing workshop.

If you’d like to enquire about booking a Virtual Author Visit, please contact me and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can with availability, options, and any further information you need.
